Sasol Polymers

Part of the South African based Sasol Group and is the largest part of the Sasol Chemicals business and is Africa's largest producer of polymers, including polypropylene, polyethylene and PVC.  In addition to product facilities in South Africa they are also growing production in the Middle East.

Spanish PET supplier La Seda de Barcelona is the largest supplier of PET in Western Europe, with a capacity of 800,000 tonnes p.a.

La Seda is a supplier of artificial and synthetic fabrics and yarns such as polyester, polythene, and viscose, as well as of PET granulate. In 2007 they acquired three PET and PET precursor plants in Spain from Eastman Chemical (Kingsport, TN).  While in 2006 they purchased the PET plants of Advansa in Turkey and the UK.
